I was first introduced to Mini Choppers from looking through the pages of EBay.
I always wanted a Motorcycle, but just could not afford to buy what I really wanted so I decided to buy a Mini Chopper off EBay.
Well it was a cheap Chinese version for $600 and that included shipping. WOW, what a deal, I could get a bike for cheap and ride it around and have some fun for little or no money. It was probably the biggest mistake I've ever made. Now I'm hooked on building the darn things.
I don't get much ride time out of my creations because once they are done, they are too nice to ride on the gravel road which I live. What I did to solve this issue was go out and buy a van to haul them in to car shows and cruise-ins.
All summer long I can't wait to get them loaded and go out to local events just to sit around and enjoy everyone looking at them and asking questions about how they are built and mostly why they were built. It's just a hobby, I tell them, but after building a couple of Minis I've found out that I could have had that real bike I wanted to start with.
These darn things can cost just as much as a real Chopper, but when I take them to shows the minis always get more comments and more pictures taken that the real thing. I've already won trophies and beat out the real choppers at local car shows.
Take a look and let Spare Time Minis let us know what you think.
This is a website dedicated to the passion of building minature choppers and any other mini moto projects. I would invite anyone to post acticles and pictures of your projects on this website. I would like to create an Online MiniMoto Club for information purposes to help others with their mini projects. Check out the show photos on www.DropJawMag.com
My Mini Chopper won "Best Bike" at the show. Just goes to prove that some judges like to see the time and effort that I've put into these small show bikes. I was just elated to win the trophy and beat out the fullsize bikes. Thanks Again Drop Jaw Magazine for your support. www.DropJawMag.com
